2021: The Lockdown Opportunity
- On 10 February 2021
Lockdown is the word of the year, according to the Collins dictionary. The lexicographers of the English institute that draws up the annual edition of the dictionary said they chose it because it became synonymous with the experience of populations around the world during the coronavirus pandemic. “It is a unifying experience for billions of people around the world, who have collectively had to play their part in the fight against the spread of Covid-19,” Harper Collins explained. Collins recorded more than 250 million uses of the word ‘lockdown’ in 2020, up from just 4,000 the previous year.
Lockdown is the word that each of us has learned to associate with difficult situations and has ended up becoming almost a synonym for the word ‘crisis’. How many times have we heard it said that crises generate opportunities; more or less unconsciously, many of us are inclined to think that the opportunities generated by crises often have a speculative connotation, that they are linked to the ability to profit from the difficulties of others.
It is not so. The pandemic for which this “strange” 2020 will be remembered, has allowed us to identify the real great crisis gripping our society: the lockdown of the mind, the one that annihilates lateral thinking and throws us into despair as soon as the everyday moves away from ‘ normality ‘.
Those who, like PL3 & Partners, are SAP partners, have the following numbers available:

This is the key to getting out of the mental lockdown: forget the difficulties that often a short-sighted and inadequate administration imposes on us, and instead look at the possibilities that our knowledge and the context in which we work make available to us.
We are part of a community which is the largest in terms of interconnections and differentiation of activities; we know our customers who, today more than ever, we want and must call partners, and we can facilitate the synergy of each.
SAP with its foresight and its potential has already activated a portal to facilitate all this; below the Italian session:

Without necessarily having to set up ad hoc infrastructures, we can foster constructive interconnection between the realities of which, as an IT partner, we are perfectly aware of the needs and potential.
Each of us holds the key to getting out of the mental lockdown.
We, not as PL3 & Partner, but as actors of today and tomorrow, invite you to reflect on this opportunity with which the lockdown has allowed us to confront and which promises to become a winner for future development, with a view to developing above any unexpected: we are a community, we work to grow together.
